Longtime Director of Sherman Library & Gardens Dies
Wade Roberts, the garden director at Corona del Mar's Sherman Library & Gardens since 1966, died suddenly last week.
Sherman Library & Gardens lost its longtime director suddenly last week, according to a report in Corona del Mar Today.
Wade Roberts, who was the garden director since 1966, passed away on Thursday, CDM Today reported. Arnold D. Haskell, founder of Sherman Library & Gardens, handpicked Roberts as the gardens director. In a released statement, Corona del Mar Residents Association President Karen Tringali said Roberts was a beloved community member.

“The CdM Residents Association Board of Directors, on behalf of all its members, mourn the loss of a true gentleman and friend,” Tringali said. “His compassion, concern and support for the environment, the Gardens, and his community was his legacy to us all."
