Principal Resigns from Corona del Mar High School

The principal of Corona del Mar High School will be leaving the school to take a new position at a school in South Orange County, a school district official announced Friday.

Tim Bryan recently accepted the position of Chancellor of the Oxford Preparatory Academy. In an email sent Friday, Bryan expressed appreciation and gratitude to the students, staff and families for their support during his tenure as principal of CdMHS.

“The tremendous support that parents have demonstrated for the school and your children’s education is the cornerstone of CdM’s success," Bryan wrote. "I am certain that CdM will continue to thrive and grow. I am grateful for all that my time here has taught me and the support you have provided for your children.”

In addition to a vacant principal's position, CdM will also have the assistant principal position open as Duncan McCulloch has announced he is leaving the post to accept the principal position at Segerstrom High School in Santa Ana. 

"Transitioning to a high school principal has been a professional goal of Mr. McCulloch’s and the District wishes him all the best in this new chapter of his career," Laura Boss, N-MUSD spokeswoman, said in a released statement.

The district will immediately begin an open,recruitment process for a new principal of Corona del Mar High School. Staff, parents and the community will be asked to participate in the process which will include an online input survey, community forum, and formal interview process.

"The goal is to have a new principal in place by the start of the 2013/14 school year," Boss said.
