Forbes Gives Pelican Hill Resort Five Stars

The Resort at Pelican Hill, and its spa, have earned five star ratings by Forbes Travel Guide, formerly Mobil Travel Guide, the resort announced Wednesday.

Pelican Hill Resort is the first and only five-star property in Newport Beach and is among just 97 hotels and resorts worldwide to earn the top Forbes Five Star Award this year, according to the announcement. The Spa at Pelican Hill earned its fifth consecutive Five Star Award and remains the only Five-Star spa in Newport Beach, as well as one of just 41 worldwide to earn the top Forbes Travel Guide rating this year.

Forbes Travel Guide has a team of expert inspectors who anonymously evaluate properties against up to 800 rigorous and objective standards, in an effort to provide travels the insight to make "better-informed travel and leisure decisions," officials reported.

These ratings serve as guideposts for consumers seeking exceptional travel experiences, and our primary mission is to serve the consumer,” said Michael Cascone, president of Forbes Travel Guide. “We’re proud to be associated with the new additions to our global list.”

Since opening in 2008 Pelican Hill Resort has earned numerous accolades, including America’s Top Resort, World’s Top Golf Resort and California’s Top Resort Spa in Condé Nast Traveler magazine’s annual Readers’ Choice Awards.
