Casey's Cupcakes Unveils New Treats at Fashion Island

It was a memorable weekend for Casey Reinhardt, founder of Casey's Cupcakes, as she opened her third location at Fashion Island and celebrated by debuting her stiletto cupcake.

"I've grown up shopping at Fashion Island," Reinhardt said. "I'm so proud to be a part of the Fashion Island family. I keep thinking oh my gosh, is this really happening? It's one of the most prestigious malls in the world."

Reinhardt began her love affair with cupcakes when she was just three-years-old and started baking with her great-grandmother. Casey now has her very own whimsical cupcake boutique that boasts signature merchandise and decorative designer cupcakes including the new fashion-inspired stiletto cupcake.

"The stiletto cupcake was inspired by the mall, I wanted to do something that was high fashion. It's very cute, glittery, glamourous, girly," she said.

A portion of the proceeds from the sale of the stiletto cupcakes will go to the Olive Crest Charity which provides support for children who have been abused and encourages education and self-esteem. 

Reinhardt started her business during her junior year of college at Pepperdine University. She decided to skip law school and move forward with her baking passion.

"It's a lot of hard work. You can't stop," Reinhardt said. "Never give up on your dream because the payoff is unbelievable."

In addition to her cupcakes, Reinhardt is also known for making her mark on the small screen in MTV's hit reality show, Laguna Beach. Casey's Cupcakes is located inside Fashion Island between Nordstrom and the movie theaters.
