ReplyIndeed they are. Without innovation and risk takers we remain stagnant and that ends poorly... I just wrote a book about becoming an overnight success- after 25 years or trying- and am pleased to report that entrepreneurs are thriving more than ever! The Millennials, those between 20-30 really have it.

ReplyI second The Shwack Beach Grill in DP. Their prices are great, not much more than an In n Out. I have been to Five Guys just once, they are good, fries a bit greasy, but overpriced. And if you want to add AV in the mix, Fatburger is the best combo or quality and price.

ReplyNisha, It's been a pleasure sharing posts about business within the Newport Beach and Corona del Mar community. What a great town to live or work in and considering how much has changed since I initially lived her in 1977, it's like reliving my past through a whole new set of eyes. Love the PATCH and the network and the ability to bring local and regional events to the people, wishing you all many more years of great reporting.

I am proud to be sharing tidbits about local business and things that affects local business or things they should know. A strong business community is a strong foundation for a viable and fiscally strong city and every one of us and all our businesses can be part of our mutual long term success. Congrats on being a dedicated and on-top-of-it editor and making your team as cohesive and consistent as we are.

ReplyGetting home last night from Newport Beach was quite a treat. As I listened to KGO on the radio- a San Diego station- I was monitoring and guessing exactly WHERE in S OC the problem started. Staring at La Paz the off ramps were backed up, OSO was a mess, but I exited Crown Valley to finding blinking Red lights. A positive sign and actually getting to Marina Hills was a breeze. Stoplights on, but no power. The bottom line is that few or any of us are really prepared in any way should we have a truly extended outage.

As a GUY and a non-shopper, BUT a consumer, I am amazed at the fervor that is created when a new store opens. Is it JUST a women/ Mom thing, or are there men out there that will be camping out overnight to be the first in the doors?? Just wondering...
