I enjoyed your blog on chamber memberships. What are your thoughts about Humane business as the nation begins to outlaw cruelty sales in cities, pet store corporate chains, and retail properties....Pet supplies is a billion dollar industry, I think banning the sales of animal cruelty will only weed out weak opportunistic owners....many humane businesses in Newport thrive of the exceptional care and money spent on Newport furry family members.. It is hypocritical of a city acknowledged as such to be selling federal puppy mill cruelty and attempting to condone it sales by allowing practices of fraud...What would a city have to lose as humane new business of rescue only stores supplying healthy purebred puppies replaces puppy mill pet stores restoring ethical, legal, and humane standards. I don't understand why cruelty seems to often be a business people defend and fight to maintain as it victimizes their neighbors and valuable patron revenues...sorry for the rambling.. looking for insight for what seems to me to be a very clear cut decision of investment for a city..

Hi Norm,

I am working on a feature film that is helping a great cause as well as offering people the opportunity to get involved with the film. I think this would be a great story to write about and tell people. I just wanted to pass this along. …Or If it’s not too much trouble, pledge on something (they are offering great things!) and if you can also please pass this along to your friends.

If I can help you out with anything or the production can help you with anything, please don’t hesitate to ask.

Here is the link for the film:

Are there nonprofits in town that need help with fund development, grant strategies, compliance or accounting?
