I have lived a great life, and it's not over yet...by far. I'm a native Californian who grew up in Redondo Beach and developed a love for surfing and sports. I am a huge Packers fan. My family moved to Orange County when I was 10. I graduated from Los Alamitos High School and Cal State Fullerton with a degree in journalism. I have worked as a newspaper reporter, magazine writer and online journalist and editor. I have been married to my wife Theresa for 22 years and I have four daughters--Madie, 20, Ally, 16, Sam, 14, and Roxy, 6. Along with being a professional writer since I was 13, I am a credentialed elementary school teacher with a Masters in education. With my life experiences and love for teaching, I believe I can be a good role model for kids. And isn't that what it's really all about?
