Barry Saywitz transformed his home into a tropical wonderland for the 3rd annual event.
The 3rd Annual Evening For Autism was held Saturday at the Newport Beach home of Barry Saywitz, a real estate entrepreneur whose seven-year-old son was diagnosed with autism at the age of two. The 4th ceremony, attended by one of the "Real Housewives," included treats, entertainment and more than half a million lights.
The Balboa Bay Club marked the start of December on Wednesday night with more than half a million lights and holiday decorations at the club's fourth annual holiday lighting ceremony. The 1st Marine Division Band out of Camp Pendleton played for the about 300 people who attended the event—among them Alexis and Jim Bellino of The Real Housewives of Orange County. The Company Kids from the Orange County Song and Dance Company were the featured performers of the evening. Attendees kept warm with hot chocolate and apple cider and indulged on cookies. An elf was on hand to make Christmas balloons, and Santa Claus made an appearance at the end of the ceremony.
