The Corona del Mar branch of the Newport Beach public library system has served as an educational tool for the childrenMore and community of Corona del Mar since 1959. The library is the smallest of the Newport Beach branches, but it has garnered much support from community members and is a popular spot for younger families. The library has six computer workstations, laptop computers and free Wi-Fi. It also houses a large collection of popular new materials, including books, DVDs, children's materials and periodicals.

These include government agencies, government contractors and sub-contractors, parts suppliers and manufacturers. Newport has one of the largest libraries of this type of material on earth. But don't try to access the information unless you work for one of the aforementioned agencies; all technical data is supplied on a need-to-know basis.
Mariners Branch Library

Located just around the corner from Mariners Park, the 15,305-square-foot Mariners Branch Library is the largestMore branch in the Newport Beach library system. It houses a collection of some 60,000 books, periodicals, newspapers and media items. The library, which is linked to the adjacent Mariners Elementary School, has a special room for kids and offers activities such as story time. Wi-Fi access is available throughout the library and several computers are available for public use. Materials from the Central Library or the other branches can be reserved online and picked up at this branch.

The 54,000-square foot Central Library carries a vast collection of books, periodicals, newspapers, audiobooks, musicMore CDs, movies (the largest collection of foreign films in Orange County) and video games. The library also offers resources that can be downloaded from its web site. The facility caters to kids, offering them a fun, colorful room (which has relaxed noise restrictions) and private patio to call their own. The library hosts several storytimes each week for kids and families. Teens have an area of their own on the second floor. There also is a reading room with with a great view of the Pacific Ocean. Each month, the library exhibits work by local artists.
