The Blue Beet Cafe

Flag as Inappropriate

One of the older eating establishments on Balboa Peninsula, if not the oldest. It is set back off the street a few yards, with a brick patio and a few tables in front. It is the place to meet on the Balboa Peninsula. It's a funky old blues, jazz and rock 'n' roll club, built back in 1912. The atmosphere is palpable with several stories, an ocean view from the small patio, a dance floor, and cozy booths. The joint is hopping with live music every night of the week. They have great draft beers, a full wine selection, and fabulous steaks and seafood. Also, they have a fantastic martini bar, with seriously experienced martini bartenders.
