Pescadou Bistro

Flag as Inappropriate

This intimate French café is located at the entrance to the beautiful Balboa Peninsula. It was first opened in 1998 by chef/owner Daniel Sidhoum, but in recent years, it's been run by his sister, Olga, and her husband, chef Jacques de Quillien. They're from the Loire River region of France, which is known for its wines and farms.

The menu is authentic French fare, all served in a quiet, romantic setting. The menu offers classics, including a beautiful selection of charcuterie, French hams, sausages and meats, all served with mustard, cheese and a baguette of French bread. There are mussels steamed in a garlicky broth and, of course, French onion soup with melted cheese on top. The restaurant also serves French steaks with golden fries and other classics such as cassoulet and bouillabaisse.

Make sure to save room for the homemade French desserts, such as mousse au chocolat and tarte tatin.

Pescadou Bistro is only open for dinner. The space is available during the day for corporate and private events.
