Local realtor Bill Hardesty opened Park Avenue Cafe in this quiet, prime location of Balboa Island in 1984, and with the help of family and friends made it an island destination point for tourists and locals alike. Regulars come for Saturday and Sunday brunch featuring Park Avenue's "Magnificent Omelettes," like the Ranchero Omelette or  Tavern Ham and Cheese, along with one of the famous Mimosas. For lunch and dinner, try a range of American classics like Cobb Salad and New York Steak, or pastas and sandwiches. Or try a delicious seafood dish, like Icelandic Cod or Shrimp Scampi.
