The 54,000-square foot Central Library carries a vast collection of books, periodicals, newspapers, audiobooks, music CDs, movies (the largest collection of foreign films in Orange County) and video games. The library also offers resources that can be downloaded from its web site. The facility caters to kids, offering them a fun, colorful room (which has relaxed noise restrictions) and private patio to call their own. The library hosts several storytimes each week for kids and families. Teens have an area of their own on the second floor. There also is a reading room with with a great view of the Pacific Ocean. Each month, the library exhibits work by local artists.
