Matahari Cafe

The Matahari Café is a new edition to the Newport Beach restaurant scene. It's located in the heart of the Balboa Peninsula and it is a popular dining destination for locals and visitors staying at nearby hotels. It offers a Mediterranean and Middle Eastern menu prepared with fresh ingredients. Highlights include a vegetarian mezze platter that is filled with hummus, babaghanoui and falafel. It serves lamb, chicken and vegetable kebabs grilled on an open fire pit. Everything is served with home made pita and ground wheat Middle Eastern breads. The restaurant may be rented for private events and weddings.
