Joe's Crab Shack

Flag as Inappropriate

It always feels like a good time at this outpost of the national seafood chain. From the outside, Joe's Crab Shack looks like exactly that: a funky crab shack. A motel-style sign directs diners into the parking lot. Inside, guests are greeted by a mini T-shirt shop full of the chain's funky (and frequently tie-dyed) designs. To the left, there's a full bar. Straight-ahead, the dining area sports lots of windows and a high ceiling.

As it's located right on the water, harbor views can be had from almost any seat in the house. Should the water not provide enough visual entertainment, mounted TVs are scattered around, usually showing sporting events. Wooden, picnic-style tables are available for seating, as are standard booths and tables. Reservations are accepted only for large groups: eight or more from Sunday through Thursday, and 12 or more on Friday and Saturday.

And there's more than just crab on the menu. Joe's offers everything from soups and salads to fish, steak, shrimp and hamburgers.
