Well grab your carving kit, because we asked Patch readers from across the country to share their pumpkin transformation skills and they are gooood.
Within minutes of our virtual call, our inbox was pumping with pumpkins. Pumpkins as Labrador retrievers, scary-as-heck paintings, crayon art, "cannibal" pumpkins, even a collection of Despicable Me minions.
What amazing creation are you making this season? Share it with your neighbors (and the world) on Patch by emailing a photo as a jpeg file with your name, hometown with state to firstname.lastname@example.org. We'd love to add it to our growing gallery.
Which one do you like the best? Tell us in the comments below.
P.S. Don't throw out the seeds! If you've never roasted pumpkin seeds before, do it. They are delicious and healthy. The best pepitas recipes call for the smaller seeds inside the hull, but any version of roasted pumpkin seeds are worth trying.
