Lego Party, a Community Campfire and Coastal Cleanup Day
Events today and this week in Newport Beach.
1. The Mariners Branch of the Newport Beach Public Library is hosting a Lego Block Party today from 3-4 p.m., 1300 Irvine Ave. All ages are welcome to participate in building, designing and inventing different Legos.
2. Tonight at 7 p.m. the Environmental Nature Center is hosting a
community campfire, evening hike and story-time for children at 1601 16th St.

3. Sports fanatics are invited tonight to the OASIS Senior Center. There will be a free showing of the Oakland Raiders versus the Denver Broncos at 5:30 p.m. at the Oasis Event Center, 801 Narcissus Ave. in Corona del Mar. A light dinner will be provided and guests can bring desserts or appetizers to share.
4. The Newport Beach Planning Commission will meet on Thursday, read the agenda here.
5. On Saturday the Newport Bay Conservancy is hosting Coastal Cleanup Day at 9 a.m. Meet at the Muth Interpretive Center, 2301 University Dr. To register email unbic@ocparks.com.
