Financial Planning, Free Pizza, Emergency Alert

1. Today from 10-11:30 a.m., a financial planning workshop will be held at the Central Library Friends Room, 1000 Avocado Ave. There is a suggested donation fee of $10 for the seminar. The "It's Your Money" Financial Planning Workshop will be led by Peter C. Kote, a private fiduciary who does not sell insurance, financial products or living trusts.

3. On Tuesday at 6 p.m. the city is hosting a public workshop on the development of the Corona del Mar Parking Management Plan. The city seeks input from residents, employees, business owners, and property owners to help determine the best strategies for improving parking management, promoting economic development, and continuing to make Corona del Mar a great place to live, work, and play. The workshop will be held in the Community Room at the Newport Beach Civic Center, 100 Civic Center Dr.

4. Anyone who donates blood on Thursday at Hoag Blood Donor Services will receive a free slice of pizza from Mario's. To make an appointment call 949-764-5621 or email donateblood@hoag.org. Hoag Blood Donor Services is located at 510 Superior Ave., Suite 130 in Newport Beach.
