The event will be held Sept. 17 at the OASIS Senior Center in Corona del Mar.

They've been traveling around the country for one year in an RV, motivating people to support the military community. And they're currently making their way to Corona del Mar.

The Duty, Honor, America Tour was created by Doug Adams and his wife, Deb Lewis, and will pull into the OASIS Senior Center on Sept. 17 from 2 to 4 p.m. The couple—who combined have more than 60 years of military service—began their journey Oct. 7.

Traveling to all 50 states, Deb drives the RV while Doug cycles an average 60 miles a day. Their little dog, Daisy, is along for the ride and maintains a blog.

The goal of the DHA Tour is to encourage support for military members, their families and veterans. Deb and Doug say this can be done through simple things such as writing a letter to offering to help with home repairs while a soldier is overseas.

Deb Boelkes is organizing the event in CDM. She learned about the couple's journey though her work in leadership development and says it's going to be a great community event .

"Deb Lewis and her husband are really amazing people for what they are doing," Boelkes said. "We hope people will come and listen to their story and also help raise awareness about what we can do as citizens to get involved and to help the miltary, their families and the veterans in our community."

Boelkes said nonprofit organizations related to assisting the military community and those interested in sponsoring the event can call her at 949-675-3248 for more information.
