Wave Check: Tuesday

It's looking marginal at best!

Good Tuesday morning surfers, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Corona del Mar Patch surf report.  Well, it's looking marginal at best.  For starters, there's not much in the way of waves and we're seeing some unfavorable conditions.

Many spots are seeing some texture or even light bump on it, due to the variable southeast wind.  We've got a minimal mix of leftover west northwest swell, some southerly energy and a little new northwest swell in the water.

That recipe is providing some kinda crumbly and a bit disorganized lines, with a few decent ones.  Most spots in Newport Beach are running about knee-to waist- high, with maybe a plus set coming through.

At 6:10 a.m the tide dropped to a 1.6 low which will have many breaks needing water early on.  The tide then climbs back up to a 3.3 high at 11:44 a.m and then drops again to a 1.4 low at 5:33 p.m.

If you're planning on paddling, break out at least a 3/2 fullsuit and maybe the booties, with the water temp hanging between 56 and 57 degrees.  Good luck out there!
