Good Thursday morning surfers, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Corona del Mar Patch surf report. Well, there's still a fair amount of combo action in the water, but those conditions look a bit unstable!
Yep, there's already some texture or light bump on it from the start, due to the variable wind. As far as the surf goes, we have a mixture of mostly continued fading northwest energy and some minor south southwest swell out there.
That recipe is making for some crumbly, textured broken-up lines, with a few decent shoulders. Most spots in Newport Beach are seeing knee-to stomach- high waves, with the standout combo breaks pulling some chest high sets.

Checking the tides, at 5:51 a.m it climbed up to a 3.3 high and then drops to a 1.3 low at 11:38 a.m and then pushes up once again to a 4.7 high at 6:23 p.m.
If you're going to get wet, a 3/2 fullsuit is plenty with the water temperature hanging between a comfortable 61 and 63 degrees. Good luck out there!
