Good Tuesday morning, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Newport Beach Patch surf report. Well, it's looking like a good day for the grommets. Yep, if you're a youngster get out there and enjoy the small and playful action.
We're starting off with some nice and clean conditions early on, with a continued minor amount of energy. There's mainly south-southwest swell and very little if any northwest windswell in the water.
That recipe is offering some fast sectiony lines, with a few rippable shoulders. Most Newport Beach spots are running about knee- to waist-high, with the standout south facing breaks pulling some stomach high plus sets.

Taking a look at the tides, at 9:42 this morning it climbs up to a 3.9 high and then drops to a 1.9 low at 2:20 this afternoon. If you're going to grab a session, throw on no more than a 3/2 fullsuit with the water temperature averaging between 59 and 62 degrees. Have fun out there!
