Tuesday Surf Report

There's minimal energy out there.

Good Tuesday morning surfers, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Newport Beach Patch surf report.  Well, there's not much in the way of waves, but at least we have some really nice weather.  So, if nothing else get and there and get wet!

We're seeing some nice and groomed conditions early on, with a very small amount of energy in the water.  There's a combination of mainly super small south southwest swell and hardly any northwest energy out there.

That recipe is providing some racy and dumpy semi-wally lines, with the occasional workable shoulder.  You'll definitely want to get out the small wave gear!  Most spots in Newport Beach are running about ankle- to knee-high, with the standout south-facing breaks seeing some thigh- to-waist high plus sets.

Checking the tides...at 10:37 later this morning it pushes up to a 3.7 high and then drops to a 1.8 low at 3:30 this afternoon.  If planning on paddling, you'll want to wear that 4/3 and possibly the booties, with the water temp hanging between a chilly 54 and 56 degrees.  Good luck out there!!
