Tuesday Surf Report

Sizeable surf sticks around!

Good Tuesday morning surfers, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Newport Beach Patch surf report.  Well, the run of fairly good size surf is sticking around for another day.  So, go grab your board and suit and get out there!

Those conditions are semi-clean, with some texture or even light bump on it and it looks like one of those days where the wind could pick up at anytime.  As far as the waves go, we're seeing a modest amount of energy.  There's mostly new northwest windswell and some continued fading south southwest energy in the water.

That recipe is offering some wedgy and fairly broken up lines, with some good bowly corners at some of those top combo breaks.  Most Newport Beach spots are seeing waist- to shoulder-high waves, with the focal points pulling some head-high plus sets.

Checking the tides...at 5:25 early this morning it pushed up to a 4.0 high and then drains out to a 0.5 low at 12:07 this afternoon.  Your best bet is probably sometime mid to late morning, providing the wind doesn't pick up.

If you're planning on paddling, you'll want to wear at least a 3/2 fullsuit and maybe the booties, with the water temperature averaging between 58 and 59 degrees.  See ya in the water!
