Good Tuesday morning surfers, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Newport Beach Patch surf report. Well, I wouldn't make it a priority to paddle. Yep, there's not much left out there and we're seeing some less than favorable conditions.
There's some texture or even light bump on it, due to the variable southeast wind. We've got a small mix of lingering west-northwest swell, some southerly energy and a little new northwest swell starting to show.
That recipe is making for some crumbly and somewhat disorganized lines, with a few workable ones. Most Newport Beach spots are seeing knee- to waist-high waves, with not much more than that.

At 6:10 this morning the tide dropped to a 1.6 low which will have many breaks desperate for water early on. The tide then pushes back up to a 3.3 high at 11:44 later this morning and then drops again to a 1.4 low at 5:33 this evening.
If you're going to get wet, you'll need at least a 3/2 fullsuit and possibly the booties, with the water temp averaging between 56 and 57 degrees. Good luck out there!
