Good Tuesday morning, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Newport Beach Patch surf report. Well, no need to worry if you missed the last couple of days. Yep, the good run of waves is continuing for another day.
Most of the coast is hanging on the playful side, with some larger sets. We're seeing some nice clean conditions, with a mix of mostly west-northwest swell and a little leftover south-southwest energy in the water.
That's providing us some fast sectiony lines, with plenty of rippable shoulders, but watch for things to be a bit soft early on. Most Newport Beach breaks are running about knee- to chest-high, with the standout spots pulling a couple larger sets.

Taking a look at those tides: At 7:27 this morning it pushes up to 6.5 high which will have some spots pretty swamped and slow early to mid morning. So, if you can wait for that tide to drop a bit as it eventually drains out to a negative 1.3 low at 2:42 this afternoon.
If you're going grab a session, throw on at least a 3/2 fullsuit and maybe the booties, with the water temperature averaging between 55 and 57 degrees. See ya in the water!
