Good Thursday morning surfers, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Newport Beach Patch surf report. Well, it's definitely still small, but some spots are showing a little more energy today.
We're seeing some pretty clean and glassy conditions early on, with a combination of mostly minor northwest windswell and some tiny south southwesterly energy in the mix. That recipe is offering some racy crumbly lines, with a few fun ones on the small wave gear.
Most Newport Beach spots are running about knee- to thigh-high, with the standout breaks pulling some waist-high waves one on the right tides.

At 9:08 this morning the tide drops to a 0.4 low which will have many spots drained out and needing water mid to late morning. The tide then pushes back up to a 2.8 high at 3:52 this afternoon.
If you're going to get wet, throw on at least a 3/2 fullsuit or a 4/3 and maybe the booties, with the water temperature averaging between 56 and 57 degrees. See ya in the water.
