Good Thursday morning surfers, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Newport Beach Patch surf report. Well, if the only the waves were a few feet bigger then we would be in business. Yep, the light to moderate offshore winds are sticking around, but unfortunately there's almost no swell out there.
The conditions are fairly clean and groomed, with a mix of some supposedly building west-northwest swell throughout the day. Keep those fingers crossed!!
That's providing some racy little semi-walled lines, with a few fun corners if you're a grom or you're on log! Most Newport Beach spots are seeing ankle- to knee-high waves, with the focal points pulling a few waist-high sets.

At 9:06 this morning the tide drops to a 1.5 low which will have many breaks needing water mid-morning. The tide then climbs back up just a tad to a 2.3 low at 3:15 this afternoon.
If you're planning on paddling, throw on at least a 3/2 fullsuit and maybe the booties, with the water temperature averaging between 56 and 57 degrees. See ya in the water!
