Newport Harbor Wins Battle of the Bay

Many thanks to Newport Harbor Aquatics for this submission! Newport Harbor defeats Corona del Mar.

For the second year in a row, Newport Harbor won the Battle of the Bay with a 9-7 victory over Corona del Mar on Saturday. 

Junior Ryan Warde led the Sailors with four goals and senior Curtis Fink added three goals.  Mitchell Mendoza and Preston Lee also scored for the Sailors. Senior goalie Wyatt Muller had 9 saves in the game.

Next up for the Tars is a Sunset League match against Huntington Beach on Wednesday, Oct. 24.  Newport Harbor then travels to Northern California for the Bellarmine Memorial Tournament on Oct. 26 and 27.
