Newport Harbor Offers Aquatics Job to Lynn

According to a report in the Daily Pilot, the job as head of Sailors' boys water polo and swim teams has been offered to assistant coach of U.S. men's national team.

Robert Lynn, a 2000 Olympian and an assistant coach with the U.S. men's senior national team, has been offered the position as head coach of Newport Harbor's boys' water polo and swim teams, according to a Matt Szabo's report in the Daily Pilot.

Lynn, 44, has been the head boys and girls water polo coach at Harvard-Westlake High in North Hollywood since 2009 and he serves as co-coach of the U.S. junior national team. He has also coached water polo at Marina High and swimming at Long Beach Wilson, his alma mater.

If hired, Lynn would take over for Jason Lynch, who was fired in April after 10 yars at the school.
