Newport Harbor Defeats Corona del Mar

Many thanks to Newport Harbor Aquatics for this submission! Newport Harbor took the gold medal in the 2011 S&R Sport Cup Southern California Water Polo Tournament Saturday night with a 9-7 victory over cross bay rival Corona del Mar.

Earlier in the day, the Sailors defeated Sunset League rivals Los Alamitos 12-7.

Next up for Newport Harbor is a Sunset League match against Fountain Valley, Wednesday, Oct. 12 at 6:05 p.m. at Newport Harbor High School.
