Photos: Jetpack Pilot Soars Over Back Bay
A man in a water-propelled jetpack gives tourists and residents an impromptu show over Newport's Back Bay.
A jetpack pilot with Drinkair.com hovered above Newport's Back Bay over the weekend, giving tourists and residents a water-filled show.
On Sunday afternoon the jetpack pilot attached himself to a water-propelled jetpack and shot 30 feet above the bay. The Showboat tourist vessel was on the bay at the same time as the jetpack pilot. The boat's audience watched as the pilot performed a variety of maneuvers and even sprayed the spectators with his water-propelled device before making his way back to the Newport Dunes Resort & Marina.
