Football: OC Top 10 and Patch's Vote After Week 1

Santa Margarita continues to be No. 1 in Orange County after posting an easy win.

Martin Henderson of Patch.com votes in the weekly Orange County Top 10 Football Poll in cooperation with the Orange County Register.

Below is Henderson's vote following the second weekend of prep football, and below that is this week's OC Top 10 based on the votes of 10 media members; each first-place vote among the 10 voters is worth 10 points, each second-place vote is worth 9 points, etc

Another big night for the offense as Chargers beat Clovis, 30-10. Next: vs. Canyon, at El Modena High, Friday, 7 p.m.

7. Edison (1-0, 40)

Good debut for QB Torgersen as Chargers beat Garfield of L.A., 24-0. Next: vs. Villa Park, at Huntington Beach High, Thursday, 7 p.m.

8. Orange Lutheran (2-0, 27)

Lancers defeated Damien of La Verne, 31-14, in another road victory. Next: vs. El Modena, at Orange Coast College, Friday, 7:30 p.m.

9. San Clemente (2-0, 24)

Tritons thumped another much-inferior team, Cabrillo of Long Beach, 37-6. Next: vs. Dana Hills, at San Clemente High, Friday, 7 p.m.

10. Tustin (2-0, 19)

Running game, big defensive plays brought Tillers a 35-28 triumph over Foothill. Next: vs. Long Beach Wilson, at Tustin High, Thursday, 7 p.m.
