A local wrestling club, the O.C. Marathon and a fundraiser.

1. The Sharks Wrestling Club in Corona del Mar is adding more sessions and looking for fresh faces. The group meets Saturdays, from 4 to 5:30 p.m., in the Corona del Mar wrestling room. More sessions are expected to be added soon. "We teach technique and make tournaments available for those that wish to compete," said Mitch Wexler, one of the club's coaches. "As necessary, we break out into groups so wrestlers of like experience are together."

Wexler said the great thing about wrestling is that it is both a team and an individual sport and provides the wrestlers discipline and a sense of accomplishment and discipline and helps prepare middle school wrestlers for high school team. And youngsters of virtually any size can participate. The club is free of charge but will soon be charging a small fee to help sustain it.
