Lincoln Elementary School Without Power

Lincoln Elementary School in Newport Beach is without power today, the Newport-Mesa Unified School District reported. School is still in session.

A power outage that left thousands of customers without power in Newport Beach has also affected Lincoln Elementary School, a school official said.

Laura Boss, spokeswoman for the Newport-Mesa Unified School District, says the phones and computers at Lincoln Elementary are currently down. Students will be dismissed today at the regular times of 1:30 p.m. for kindergarten and 2:55 p.m. for all other grade levels.

The power outage occurred at about 5:10 a.m. Southern California Edison expects power to be fully restored by 6:30 p.m. Read our story about the power outage here.
