Video: Attorney Accused of Telling Client To Break Into Foreclosed House Interviewed

Attorney Michael Theodore Pines of San Diego has been accused of encouraging others to break into their homes as an act of civil disobedience to protest foreclosure laws.

Pines and client Rene Hector Zepeda, 72, of Newport Beach on Tuesday pleaded not guilty to vandalism, second-degree burglary and unlawful entry of a residence, all misdemeanors, according to court records. Authorities say Pines told Zepeda last year to break into his foreclosed house at 19 Coral Cay in Newport Coast. The two were subsequently arrested.
