Completed in December, John Wayne Airport's $30.5 million Central Utility Plant is on-line and will eventually supply about 95 percent of the airport's power.

Airport officials and local dignitaries on Thursday gathered to dedicate the plant, which is part of JWA's $540 million expansion that includes a new parking structure and passenger terminal, among other projects.
