Woman Under Bridge Was Shot to Death
Santa Ana resident Nancy Hammour, 28, was found lying face down on Labor Day underneath the Bay Bridge. Police say she died from a gunshot wound.
A woman who was found lying face down under a bridge in Newport Beach on Labor Day died from a gunshot wound, police reported today.
Nancy Hammour, 28, of Santa Ana was found about 8:45 a.m. underneath the Bay Bridge, near the intersection of East Coast Highway and Bayside Drive. Jennifer Manzella, police spokeswoman, said Hammour was shot.
Hammour was pronounced dead at the bridge.
Newport Beach police are investigating Hammour's death as a homicide. Anyone with additional information about the case is asked to call the Newport Beach Police Department’s hotline at 1-800-550-NBPD. Messages can be anonymous.
