More than 80 people donate blood at the 26th annual Newport Beach lifeguards blood drive.

The blood drive collected 86 units of blood, enough to help about 258 people in need. Another blood drive will be held at the Newport Beach Pier on Aug. 24 from 1 - 7 p.m.
