Two Arrested Following Pursuit into CDM

Westminster Police pursued a suspected stolen car into Corona del Mar Thursday and arrested two people, according to police.

Two people were arrested in Corona del Mar today following a police pursuit that started in Westminster, Newport Beach police reported.

At about 12:00 p.m. Westminster police noticed a suspected stolen car and pursued it with the help of the California Highway Patrol into Corona del Mar where it ended.

The male driver fled the car and was arrested, his female passenger remained in the car and was also taken into custody by Westminster police.

"We assisted them at the termination point at Fernleaf and Second Avenue," Newport Beach police spokeswoman Kathy Lowe said.

No other information was immediately available.
