Suspect Enters Unlocked Home While Resident Sleeps

A suspect entered an unlocked Newport Beach home last week while the resident was asleep in a bedroom, police reported.

The burglary took place sometime between Dec. 29 at 9:30 p.m. and Dec. 30 at 6:45 a.m., at a home in the 500 block of 36th Street. According to police, the suspect entered the home through an unlocked window while the resident was asleep inside the home. Once inside the suspect grabbed a set of car keys from the kitchen table and fled the home.

No other information was released.
