Suspect Breaks into Home Through French Doors

Money and jewelry were stolen from a home on Hertford in Newport Beach over the weekend.

A burglar broke into a Newport Beach through a set of french doors, police reported.

The burglary took place at a home on Hertford on Saturday, sometime between 6:45 and 8:15 p.m. Police said an unknown suspect entered the home after prying open the french doors, locked the door leading to the garage to slow the resident's entry into the house and went upstairs to the master bedroom.

Jewelry and money were reported missing from the home.
