A woman was robbed inside the parking garage of her apartment complex Monday, and the suspect got away with her purse, Newport Beach police reported.
The robbery took place at about 10:19 p.m. in the 7100 block of Residencia. According to police, the woman parked her car inside the parking garage and was getting out of the car when she felt someone grab her and pull the door open. Police say the suspect hit the woman in the face and ripped her purse from her shoulder.
The suspect fled on foot and was last seen wearing a long-sleeved black shirt, black pants, a black beanie and white shoes.
