The Newport Beach Police Department is joining forces with Hoag Hospital and hosting a blood drive that starts today in an effort to help the hospital's patients.
The NBPD Hoag Blood Drive will run through Wednesday, Nov. 27. Any blood or platelets donated will go directly to Hoag Hospital patients, with each donation helping up to three people.
To schedule an appointment to donate, email donateblood@hoag.org or call 949-764-5621 and be sure to mention the Newport Beach Police Department.

Donors will receive juice, cookies and ice cream.
Donations will be taken at Hoag Blood Donor Services, 510 Superior Ave. Suite 130 in Newport Beach. Donation hours are Monday & Thursday from 9 a.m. to 6:45 p.m., and Tuesday, Wednesday, & Friday from 9 a.m. to 3:45 p.m.
