OC Probation Sweep Nets 9 Arrests

Nine probationers were arrested during sweeps for narcotics in Costa Mesa.

Nine probationers were arrested during sweeps for narcotics in Costa Mesa, authorities said Wednesday.

Compliance sweeps conducted Tuesday at numerous locations and the result was that 19 contacts were made. Five who were staying at a Vagabond Inn were arrested for new narcotics charges, police said.

Costa Mesa police have a zero tolerance program against probationers who violate terms of their probation.
