No Leads in CDM Union Bank Robbery

Police say the goateed suspect used a note to hold up a teller.

Newport Beach police say no new leads have surfaced in the in Corona del Mar last week.

The bank -- located at 2865 E. Coast Highway -- was robbed around 4:45 p.m. Wednesday, Feb.1 when a man walked in and made off with an undisclosed amount of money after showing a note to bank teller that demanded the cash drawer be emptied.

"I spoke with Detective Bryan Moore who is handling the case and he said there are no new leads in the case," Kathy Lowe, spokeswoman for the Newport Beach Police Department, said.

The suspect is described as standing 6 feet 2 inches tall, weighing about 180 pounds, with long hair and a goatee. He was wearing a gray undershirt, dark colored T-shirt, black sweats pants, a grey and black striped beanie and black sunglasses.
