Newport Police to Increase DUI Patrols for Holiday Weekend
Law enforcement urges people to call 911 to report suspected drunken drivers.
If imbibing is part of your plan for the long holiday weekend, be sure you have a safe way to get home ... or to the next party.
Newport Beach police will have more officers on the street Saturday through Monday looking for drunken drivers, according to a release from the department. Police in Irvine, Laguna Beach and Fountain Valley also will increase patrols over the holiday weekend, the release said.
Law enforcement also is urging people to call 911 to report suspected drunken drivers.
