Motorcyclist Crashes on PCH

The man, in his early 20s, was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.

A motorcyclist was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries today after a collision on Pacific Coast Highway in Newport Beach.

Newport Beach police Sgt. Ryan Peters said the motorcyclist, a man in his early 20s, struck a sedan at the intersection of PCH and Newport Center Drive around 9:40 p.m. Wednesday.

Peters said westbound lanes of the highway were closed for about 90 minutes after the collision.
