Missing Newport Woman Found Safe
Detectives located Morgan Arevalo at a Costa Mesa hotel Tuesday morning.
was found safe today at a hotel in Costa Mesa, after being missing for more than a week, a police official said.
Detectives in Newport Beach located Arevalo, 28, at about 10 a.m. Kathy Lowe, police spokeswoman, said they had been following up on information received early this morning.
"Detectives interviewed Arevalo at the location and determined she was at the location voluntarily and able to care of herself," Lowe said. "She was unharmed and in good health."

Arevalo was reported missing around 11 p.m. Oct. 2 from her home in the 1000 block of West Balboa Boulevard. Her friends told police she had been drinking and left her Balboa Peninsula home in a taxi cab.
