UPDATE: Man Headed to Jail for Putting Semen in Co-Worker's Water

Michael Kevin Lallana twice put his semen in a woman's water bottle while working at Northwestern Mutual Financial Network branches in Newport Beach and Orange.

A man convicted of battery for twice ejaculating in his co-worker's water bottle was sentenced to 180 days in jail and three years probation today.

Michael Kevin Lallana, who was convicted of two misdemeanor counts of battery Feb. 24, also will have to register as a sex offender as part of the sentence handed down by Orange County Superior Court
Judge Walter Schwarm.

Authorities say the first incident happened in January 2010 when Lallana put his semen into a water bottle left on the desk of a female co-worker at Northwestern Mutual Financial Network in Newport Beach. The co-worker later drank from the bottle, realized something was wrong with the contents and threw it away, according to the D.A.'s office.

In April 2010, Lallana and the female co-worker were among employees transferred to Northwestern Mutual Financial Network’s Orange branch. Soon after the move, Lallana again put his semen in the woman's water bottle. Again, she detected something wrong with the water. This time she sent it to a private lab to be tested, according to the district attorney's office.

"I had a hunch that's what it was, but I wouldn't dream in a million years that's what it was," The woman, identified only as Tiffany G., said in court.

Lab results showed that there was semen in the water, the D.A.'s office said. The woman reported the incident to Orange police. An investigation led to the arrest of Lallana, who, according to authorities, was linked to the incident by DNA.

Lallana later admitted to police that he ejaculated into his co-worker's water bottle because "her lips had touched" it.

"I saw her water bottle and I did it," Lallana says on a tape of the police interview. "For me, it's a release. I think about my wife."
